Two new Choral Directors for the Diocese of Middlesbrough

The Music Department of the Diocese of Middlesbrough is delighted to announce the appointment of two new members of our team. As a result of joining forces with the National Schools Singing Programme we are fortunate to have gained the services of outstanding musicians David Pisaro and Janine Busbridge. David and Janine will be joining us from November to develop and extend our programme of choral singing in our schools. Initially David and Janine will be working within the Nicholas Postgate MAT of schools and we hope that other trusts in our diocese will be able to benefit from the programme in due course.

Bishop Terence Drainey says:
‘St Augustine tells us that the one who sings prays twice. So, by the sound of it there is going to be a lot if singing and therefore a lot of praying around the Middlesbrough area as we initiate our participation in the National Schools’ Singing Programme. We have recently appointed two choral directors to work with young people in our schools and parishes. I look forward to experiencing the fruits of this great work in the not too distant future.’
