The Diocese of Salford is recruiting a Choral Director
The Diocese of Salford is looking to recruit an outstanding Choral Director to help deliver the work of the Salford Schools Singing Programme in diocesan schools. The programme forms part of the National Schools Singing Programme. Under the leadership of Salford Cathedral’s Director of Music, Alex Patterson, the programme now includes a Choral Director, Kathryn Bradley, and the team works closely together, engaging with over 785 children across the whole of the Diocese each week.
What we are looking for
The Choral Director will play a key role in the delivery of the Schools Singing Programme within the Diocese of Salford, including working with its team of musicians to:
- Identify and develop relationships with schools and parishes throughout the Diocese which may benefit from the programme.
- Deliver outstanding singing sessions to school children in classroom and assembly settings within the school timetable and in line with the national curriculum.
- Ensure that pupils are well equipped to provide music for collective worship in liaison with school colleagues.
