The Diocese of Plymouth joins the NSSP

‘The Diocese of Plymouth is delighted to join the National Schools Singing Programme, and we are grateful for the grant award from the Hamish Ogston Foundation. Music and singing touches us all so that we experience something of the beauty of God. The programme will enable us to develop a ‘diocesan model’ for our schools, enabling us to assist some of the poorest and most vulnerable children and families in our area. It is good to know that through the programme these families will feel more at home in our Churches, as their children participate in outstanding choir sessions and after-school activities. We are excited by this new opportunity of deeper collaboration between school, parish and home, and by the benefits this will bring to some of the most disadvantaged.’
