The Archdiocese of Liverpool leads the way in England

The Archdiocese of Liverpool enjoys a long history of excellence in choral music through the famous boys and girls choirs at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. It will now expand outwards into the Diocese using NSSP funding to offer a comprehensive choral education programme to young people in Liverpool and surrounding areas. Diocesan Director of Music for the Archdiocese, Christopher McElroy, was the founding director of the Diocese of Leeds Singing Programme for eight years and has a wealth of experience to bring to the new Liverpool Schools Singing Programme. The Archdiocese will advertise two full time choral director posts in the near future to begin work later in 2021.
