The Archdiocese of Cardiff is recruiting a Choral Director

Can you play a pivotal role in supporting the Archdiocese of Cardiff with a bold and exciting new venture, engaging children and young people with and enabling evangelisation through music in schools? If so, then we would welcome an application from you for the post of Choral Director.
The Choral Director will lead high-quality weekly choral singing sessions in schools, conducting choirs and helping to shape the ministry of music throughout the Archdiocese of Cardiff. We are looking for someone who has a passion for enabling singing to act as a vehicle for social change and empowerment amongst our young people. The Archdiocese includes schools as far east as Hereford and as far west as Bridgend. It includes Merthyr Tydfil and the surrounding valleys as well as incorporating the cities of Cardiff and Newport.
- The role is for two years initially and is a full-time appointment, working 20 to 35 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year. Flexible working will be required including evening and weekend work.
- We are offering an annual salary of £25,000 increasing to £30,000 (plus mileage and pension scheme) with 28 days holiday (to be taken outside of term time) plus bank holidays and a range of other benefits.
- You will be based in the Cardiff area and will be required to travel to educational institutions.
