‘Proud of our school’ – NSSP voices from Northern Ireland

There are 30 schools in the Dioceses of Down and Connor, Dromore and Armagh which take part in NSSP singing sessions each week. As a result, new choirs for children have been formed at St Peter’s Cathedral in Belfast and at the seat of the Primate of All Ireland, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh.

‘The best thing we ever did for our child! The feeling of seeing your child do something they love every week with such pride is an amazing thing. Of all the variety of activities boys are involved in, this is by far the best!’ – Choir Parent, St Peter’s Cathedral, Belfast

‘The progress the children made in their singing over the weeks was truly remarkable. We even used one of the songs ‘Proud of our school’ in a school assembly performance. The whole process has kept the children in touch with their faith.’ – Teacher in Newry
