Primary Schools across Belfast unite in song at the Cathedral

The new Schools Singing Programme in Belfast currently reaches 650 children across 14 of the city’s schools. St Peter’s Cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of Down and Connor and has one of the finest organs and choirs in Northern Ireland. The 25 children that make up the Diocesan Boys Choir are known as the Schola Cantorum and there are another 22 children engaged in training groups.

Teachers have been sharing their reactions about the delivery of the Singing Programme in their schools:

“James was brilliant with the students; they have enjoyed the science behind the voice, learning songs and rhythm games.”

“Excellent, interesting, fun, educational workshops. I cannot praise James’ delivery anymore. I would recommend this programme to other schools. It was terrific to see the response from the children.”
