New Choral Director for the Archdiocese of Liverpool
The Archdiocese of Liverpool is pleased to announce the appointment of Josie Baker as Choral Director. Josie will will visit schools across the Diocese as part of its Schools Singing Programme.
Josie grew up in Bradford and developed her passion for choral music at Bradford Cathedral, where she enjoyed many years as a chorister. She completed her music degree at the University of Liverpool in 2023 and is currently pursuing an MRes in Music. During her time at university, she sang with both the University of Liverpool Chamber Choir and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir, which introduced her to oratorios such as the St Matthew Passion for the first time. Presently, Josie sings with the Metropolitan Cathedral Choir and serves as a Choral Scholar at Liverpool Cathedral. She is excited to begin her new role as Choral Director for the Metropolitan Cathedral.
