Leicester Cathedral wishes to appoint a choral conductor with a talent for working with children to the full time post of Schools Choral Director, through the National Schools Singing Programme.

The salary is £24,000 p.a.

The Schools Choral Director’s responsibilities include:

• Taking a role in Leicester Cathedral’s schools’ singing programme DioSing
• An active part in the recruitment of Choristers to the Cathedral Choirs and the training of Probationers and Choristers
• The opportunity to conduct the Cathedral Choirs in services
• Supporting the Director of Music in his responsibility for the welfare, good conduct, discipline and safety being of all choir members
