Primary 5 pupils from Notre Dame Primary School delighted visitors at the University of Glasgow with a special live choral performance in the historic campus Cloisters as part of the Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival and the Glasgow 575 anniversary celebrations.

Under the direction of NSSP Choral Director David Wynn-Evans, the whole-class group performed a set of songs, with a spirited rendition of the Scottish favourite ‘Loch Lomond’ proving to be a highlight for festival visitors exploring the university campus.

The University of Glasgow Schools Singing Programme works in partnership with local state primary schools across the city to deliver weekly curriculum-aligned singing sessions and create open-access pathways into high-level choral music. Alongside whole-class classroom sessions during the school day, the initiative supports the University Children’s Choir, providing pupils with regular performance opportunities across the university and the wider community.
