James Greechan Appointed in the Diocese of Motherwell
James Greechan is thrilled to have been appointed as a Choral Director for the Diocese of Motherwell.
‘The young people in our schools have unlimited musical potential and it is an immense privilege to be given the opportunity to spark a love of choral music in them that can last a lifetime. Since my early days, I have worked with numerous choirs of all ages and abilities, studying music education at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and now completing a Masters Degree in sacred music at the University of St. Andrews. I look forward to working with the school and diocesan staff to give our young people the highest quality of music education. Alongside this new post, I also continue my work as College Organist at St Aloysius College, Glasgow, renowned for its highly successful Scholar programme. In all that I do, I remain deeply passionate about increased accessibility in choral music and advocating for the innumerable benefits of being in a choir. I hope that this exciting new venture brings great opportunity and joy into our schools, our parishes, and our families’.
