Kathryn Bradley Appointed in the Diocese of Salford
Kathryn Bradley is a Manchester-based choral director, singer, and teacher.
Her new position as Choral Director for the Diocese of Salford involves working in local schools as part of the National Schools Singing Programme to enrich the musical experience of young children. Alongside the Director of Music, she also aids in conducting and managing choirs at Salford Cathedral.
Outside of the Cathedral, Kathryn is also Musical Director for Wilmslow choir ‘The Lindow Singers’, programming and conducting all rehearsals for their four annual concerts. She recently graduated with a 2:1 degree in Music from the University of Manchester, studying voice under Andrew Heggie. Kathryn has also performed as a vocal soloist and chorus member for Opera North’s Youth Chorus, and performed in their world premiere of Will Todd’s ‘Songs of Love and Battle’ in 2018. She also has experience of managing two professional operas in Manchester, and was co-chair of the ‘Musica’ festival committee from 2020–2022. Kathryn is passionate about aiding everyone in reaching their musical potential, and is really looking forward to contributing to the musical lives of so many people of all ages around the Salford Diocese.
In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys painting and exploring the Yorkshire Moors of her hometown.
