The Diocese of Hallam is seeking to appoint a Choral Director
The Diocese of Hallam is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and appropriately qualified Choral Director who, working closely with the Lead Diocesan Choral Director, will be responsible for working within local Catholic schools to implement and develop the National Schools Singing Programme (NSSP).
The Choral Director will work within Catholic primary schools and will be responsible for the development of choral singing in those schools, nurturing potential in the diverse communities those schools are located in. The core work of the Choral Director takes place during the school day in diocesan primary schools, with children in the sessions who show a particular interest in singing encouraged to take part in after-school choirs which sing for Sunday Masses and other liturgies.
The Diocese of Hallam constitutes South Yorkshire as well as areas of north-east Derbyshire and north Nottinghamshire. Some travel in the Diocese will therefore be required and applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a car.
For more detail about the role and an application form, please contact the Lead Diocesan Choral Director, Mr Chris Edge, at cedge@hallam-diocese.com.
