NSSP Junior Choirs sing together in Liverpool

The Junior Choirs of the Catholic and Anglican Cathedrals in Liverpool were joined by Leeds Cathedral Junior Boys and Girls Choirs on Sunday 26 January for a special sung Eucharist service for Christian Unity. It was an unforgettable experience for these young choristers – all drawn from local schools enrolled in the three schools singing programmes – to come together in the vast surroundings of the Anglican Cathedral.

Leeds Cathedral junior organ scholar Frankie had the privilege of playing the huge cathedral organ and Leeds Choral Scholar Kumbi helped with directing the massed choirs in the afternoon concert.

This is the third time these three NSSP partners have worked together over the past year, having previously sung together at Liverpool Catholic Cathedral and Leeds Cathedral. What a strong showing for the NSSP in the North of England!

“It has been fantastic to make this work between us all and I am very glad that we have done this! The choirs have been amazing to perform with, and it has been a pleasure for me to be working with my colleagues from other parts of the country who are looking towards similar aims.”
Mitchell Holland, Choral Outreach Lead, Liverpool Anglican Cathedral
