Leicester Cathedral is delighted to announce the appointment of Lucy Haigh as its first Schools Choral Director. Lucy brings to the role extensive experience of working with children’s choirs and groups she has run have enjoyed competition success at the highest level.
Following three years as Head of Choral Music at St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls in Perth, Western Australia, Lucy took up the post of Choral Director at Leeds Cathedral, where she launched the Cathedral Junior Boys’, Girls’ and Children’s Choirs and visited up to twelve primary schools every week to teach whole-class singing sessions and to direct choirs.
