Each September, we welcome new and existing Choral Directors to Leeds Cathedral at the beginning of the new academic year. This year’s training days took place on Monday and Tuesday of this week and brought together 40 professionals from Catholic dioceses and Anglican cathedrals across the UK.

This year’s training days focused on the NSSP’s curriculum offer for schools, equipping attendees with the skills and confidence to deliver high-quality music education to thousands of state-school-educated children across the country. Delegates also heard from speakers in Catholic dioceses and Anglican cathedrals about how their schools singing programmes are taking shape, the strategies they have employed, and the challenges they have encountered.
