Each September, we welcome new and existing Choral Directors to Leeds Cathedral at the beginning of the new academic year. This year’s training day took place on Wednesday of this week and brought together 50 professionals from Catholic dioceses and Anglican cathedrals across the UK.

As in previous years, the training focused on equipping attendees with the skills and confidence to deliver high-quality music education to thousands of state-school-educated children across the country. Delegates heard from speakers with expertise in special educational needs and musicianship in the classroom, as well as receiving an update on the NSSP’s curriculum resources for schools.
